Installation procedures MUST be followed on the aforementioned IGNYTE injector numbers to prevent severe engine flooding that can cause hydrostatic lock up of engines for these units.
| Remove the fuel rail and drain all of the fuel |
| Clean the area around the top of the injector mount |
| Make sure all the fuel bowls are completely dry and clear of debris such as rust and corrosion or any contaminants |
ALWAYS inspect the rubber hold down washer on top the injector below the aluminum bracket – if it is dry or brittle – replace it immediately!
Lube the upper and lower o-rings on the injector with white lithium grease prior to installing – carefully place the injector into the fuel bowl and place the rubber hold down washer and bracket over the top of the injector
TIGHTEN BY HAND both hold down screws evenly alternating back and forth until hand tight – torque screws to OEM specs
Reinstall the fuel rail onto the fuel lines – pressurize the system and check for leakage AT THE LOWER O-RING – if no leaks are present complete the installation of the fuel rail into the manifold
IGNYTE WILL NOT WARRANTY injectors with torn upper or lower o-rings from improper installation!
